What is happiness? | 3 simple steps to identify your true self
Happiness is the state of being joyful. It's feeling wonderful about yourself, your life, and what you do every time. You know you are a cheerful person when you enjoy existence and feel excellent about all. Every one of us is pretty familiar with this state of happiness.
There are enough ways to define happiness. You might say it's the excitement you hear when your loved one wins a world series title, or maybe it's the joy you see when you learn how to meditate every time. It may be a subjective topic, but I want to get this article out there for individuals.
Happiness is your emotional state of being that results from the highest fulfillment of one's desires with minimal stress. It's not something you are or have. It is what you do with what you already have. How can you make use of yourself to be joyful?

Happiness is, in our nature, a process of life. It's not a place one wants to reach. Whatever we do or have done till the time is all for happiness. So, this is only the reason we strive for it daily.
Happiness is in the moment or in the presence of now. To find it, one needs to identify and realize one's true self with the ultimate reality of all existence that exists, and that is consciousness. You create reality by observing everything, which comes into your recognition.
Quantum Mechanics also says, "Reality does not exist when you are not looking at it." So, here your journey starts as a creator of your own destiny and life.
THREE SIMPLE STEPS TO IDENTIFY YOUR TRUE SELF
There is nothing much to do to achieve something which you already are or have by nature itself. The Universe loves you. It has created you. It maintains a discipline regularly to sustain your life. You only need to pay some attention and focus on some things that are already there to help you out.
You are not what you can think of yourself. If you can’t think, you do not know who you are. Why individuals cannot determine their true self is because they are not aware of their consciousness, the ultimate power, and source of knowledge.
These three simple steps can benefit you to find your pure self and create your destiny.
1. ACCEPTANCE
The very first step to pinpoint your true individuality is acceptance. We all have to go through tough times in our lives. It doesn't mean this time is going to stay forever. Nothing is perpetual here. Therefore, what we require is acceptance. It doesn't matter how hard life is on you. Just accept it all, with no defiance or regret in your mind.
Stop being so serious about your life. Take a breath. Stop being egoistic like I'm this or that. How can something bad happen to me and all? We are not fully responsible for everything happening around us. So just relax and stop worrying about anything.

Well, for now, it may seem disappointing to you by accepting all as it is and doing nothing to change it. But show some gratitude for what you already have, and you can trust the universe. It has created you by creating you and you create it by observing it. Give it some time and trust to help you out. It will give your life's command back to you soon.
Therefore, simply accept what may come into your life with no refusal. Just let it be and forget the rest. Now you have done with your first step.
2. LIVE IN THE MOMENT
As you know, we only have the present to live. We are already in the moment, as there is no other place to be present. But are we actually present in the now if we are thinking about something at the moment? Can you drive carefully if your attention is not on the road because you are busy thinking about something?
There is nothing wrong with thinking and having life dreams. It's a privilege to imagine and store memories. But a dream comes into reality by acting upon it.
Most people miss the reality of their existence because they spend most of their life just thinking and then worrying. Thinking is like dreaming. We dream not only in sleep but in the day as well. Thinking in the awake state is like a dream because you are dreaming a thought and are not aware of the present moment. You miss it while thinking.
What is happening "NOW," is only the ultimate reality of all existence that comes into your consciousness? Everything else is a dream, a thought, a memory, a concept, a worry, an experience, a story or a belief, etc.

One can actually live in the moment by paying attention or focusing on every smallest act we do in our daily life at the moment.
Start focusing on small things like eating, reading, drinking, driving, walking, etc. Listen to the sounds of nature like rivers, birds chirping, etc. Try to connect yourself with nature and be more conscious & focused on every smallest thing that comes your way at the moment. This is going to help you with living the moment, increased focus, and later on, identify your true self.
3. MEDITATE
Well, meditation is used to still our mind. One needs a peaceful mind to identify the true self. Still, mind means you are aware of the present moment, and you can only do this when you are not thinking any thought. Stop chattering in your mind and focus at the moment. How can one focus on something?
One can only focus with no thoughts at the moment. The more can you control your thoughts not to appear and stay conscious, the closer are you to realize your true self. One needs to control the flow of thoughts and to realize the one to whom these thoughts arise.
The practice to calm a mind is called meditation. You can try meditating by just focusing on a thing like your breath or any point with no thoughts. Whenever a thought appears, start over and again. You may feel bored while focusing on a thing constantly. But this is the way you can stay more conscious at the moment with no thoughts, and your true self will reveal to you by itself. Don’t seek results. Just not only try but do it.
It will completely change your perspective with more clarity and understanding of life. Good luck!
